Outdoor High Voltage Disconnector Isolator for Power Transmission And Distribution Systems

DGG Outdoor High Voltage Disconnector is designed for electrical isolation and switching applications in high voltage transmission and distribution systems.

The disconnector provides a visible isolation gap after opening, allowing maintenance personnel to clearly confirm the disconnected condition of the circuit. It is commonly installed in substations, transmission lines and distribution systems where safe electrical isolation is required.

With a robust outdoor structure and reliable mechanical operation, DGG disconnectors can be configured according to different voltage levels, installation conditions and project requirements.

Product Overview

A high voltage disconnector is an important switching device used in power transmission and distribution systems.

Unlike a circuit breaker, a disconnector is mainly used to provide electrical isolation and does not normally interrupt load current or short-circuit current. After the circuit breaker disconnects the current, the disconnector creates a visible isolation distance to ensure safe maintenance and operation.

The outdoor high voltage disconnector consists mainly of insulating supports, conductive contacts, operating mechanism and mounting structure. The reliable mechanical design ensures stable opening and closing operation under outdoor conditions.

DGG high voltage disconnectors are suitable for substations, transmission lines and distribution networks requiring safe isolation and maintenance operations.

Working Principle

During normal operation, the high voltage disconnector remains in the closed position to maintain electrical connection between the two sides of the circuit.

When maintenance or system switching is required, the circuit breaker first interrupts the current. The operating mechanism then drives the disconnector contacts to open, creating a visible isolation gap between the conductors.

This visible separation allows operators to confirm that the electrical equipment has been safely isolated before maintenance work begins.
